Dronefront Drones Tier List

This Dronefront drones tier list ranks every major Operator platform on Roblox — from cheap KVN FPV scouts to prestige hunts like Storm Shadow and event exclusives such as Disruptor. Rankings assume you are destroying infrastructure (power plants, barracks, ammunition storage), earning Fragments, and fighting Defenders who read their own Weapons Tier List.

Dronefront has no static official chart. DEL Interactive ships frequent updates (Town Remake, AI Drones Rework, Summer Event 2026), so treat tiers as snapshot advice. Re-test after patch notes on Updates.

Ranking rules

We score each drone or missile on:

  • Reliability — Can an average Operator get value in one life?
  • Counterplay cost — How hard is it for Verba roofs or Elka interceptor lines to shut down?
  • Fragment ROI — Does the purchase accelerate the next upgrade?
  • Skill floor — Does it demand FPV Controls mastery on day one?
  • Availability — Permanent shop vs Gamepass vs badge/event lock

Gamepass versions of Morok, Shahed-238, Geran-2 R-60 Missile, and X-101 Missile inherit the same combat tier as their Fragment counterparts; they only skip grind. Details: Gamepasses.

S tier — meta anchors

Shahed-238

The workhorse strike drone. Speed, payload feel, and Fragments payout on successful infrastructure hits make Shahed-238 the benchmark many servers respect. It punishes lazy Defender rotations when you approach from a secondary lane. Weakness: predictable audio and size once Defenders pre-aim common dive corridors.

X-101 Missile

Planned demolition tool. X-101 belongs in committed runs where you already scouted AA and chosen a timing window. Not a panic button for beginners, but S-tier when paired with intel from a cheap FPV pass. Overkill on empty servers; god-tier when a power plant is lightly covered.

Disruptor (Summer Event 2026)

Event exclusives usually land in A or B, but Disruptor earns S situational status because the Summer Event payout during Jul 12 – Aug 31, 2026 helps you afford the rest of your kit while giving a unique strike identity. Unlock path: shoot autonomous drones for summer balls at roughly fifty percent drop chance from community notes, complete the board, and claim ~1500 Fragments plus the drone — full walkthrough on How to Get Disruptor. After unlock, compare against Shahed before ego-chasing ranked lobbies. If you missed the Aug 31 deadline, farm Fragments and run Morok instead; watch New Drone Updates for future exclusives.

A tier — high skill, high return

Morok

Slightly more forgiving entry into heavy strike drones than Shahed for many players. Excellent when you are learning approach timing without burning premium missiles every life. Often available as a Gamepass; still A-tier on skill, not wallet.

Geran-2 R-60 Missile

Flexible missile slot between scout and siege. Strong when Defenders stack one roof and you need a mid-cost answer. Pair with Operator Guide strike priorities.

Storm Shadow

Prestige pick tied to exploration and badge hunting in Storm Shadow guide. Combat tier is A because acquisition time is real, but the flex value and strike fantasy keep it in top lists for dedicated players.

B tier — fundamentals and flex picks

KVN FPV

Best-in-class training wheel for scouting. Low commitment, teaches map flow, and keeps Fragments loss small when you crash. Every Operator should master KVN before buying Shahed-tier toys. Featured heavily in Beginner Loadouts.

Interceptor FPV

Faster, twitchier cousin to KVN. B-tier because it rewards sharper camera control but dies to the same AA patterns. Upgrade path once KVN routes feel boring.

I-51

Niche strike drone with a collector aura (low badge ownership on trackers). Viable in skilled hands, but outshone by Morok/Shahed for general infrastructure farming.

C tier — situational or outclassed

Privet-120

Memorable name, narrow role. Useful for specific angles or style points, not your second purchase after joining. Keep in C until a patch rebalance or AI rework changes intercept rules.

D tier — avoid for progression

Anything you buy before you can fly a B-tier FPV belongs here mentally — including premature X-101 spam. D-tier is also “duplicate luxury” when you already own two strike platforms that cover the same job.

Operator shopping order

  1. KVN FPV or stable scout equivalent
  2. Morok or Shahed-238 (pick one main strike line)
  3. Geran-2 for mid-range missile answers
  4. X-101 when scouting is habitual
  5. Event/prestige toys after economy is stable — Disruptor during Summer Event 2026 Jul 12 – Aug 31 window

Patch watchlist

AI Drones Rework may change how autonomous threats distract Defenders — sometimes buffing strike drones indirectly. Town Remake shifts ingress lanes; a drone that loved main-road dives may drop half a tier until new routes are mapped. Portable Radar and defender info tools also affect how safe S-tier dives feel.

Fly scouts, spend Fragments on one strike identity, then expand. That loop keeps Operators off the D-tier regret list.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best overall drone in Dronefront?

Shahed-238 is the most consistent S-tier strike drone for infrastructure runs, while KVN FPV is the best beginner scout.

Should I buy Morok or Shahed-238 first?

Shahed-238 edges end-game farming; Morok is a slightly softer A-tier entry if you are still learning approach timing.

Is X-101 worth it early?

No. Master scouting with KVN FPV first. X-101 is S-tier only when you already read Defender positions.

Do Gamepass drones rank higher?

No. Gamepasses duplicate Fragment items. Tier placement is based on combat value, not Robux price.

What if I missed Disruptor?

Run Morok or Shahed and watch Updates for future events. See How to Get Disruptor for the Jul 12 – Aug 31, 2026 window details.
